International fire protection has proven experience working offshore in international locations, all of our Engineers and Consultants have the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Survival Training (BOSIET), Offshore Energies UK (OGUK) medical certificates and where applicable, CompEx explosive atmospheres competency. IFP work to local and international rules and regulations and are familiar with classification society rules including LR, ABS, BV and DNV.
Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FPSO) vessel, Cote d’Ivorie, West Africa
IFP were mobilised to a FPSO in the Gulf of Guinea off west Africa, to replace 3 gas suppression system extinguishant control panels, after an accidental clean agent suppression system release due to a fault with an existing extinguishant control panel.
Based on information provided by the customer, IFP created a work scope and system interface document pack, engineering drawings and mobilised an Engineer offshore to the FPSO to replace the extinguishant control panels. A site acceptance test (SAT) was carried out with the customer and a report provided to satisfy the requirements of the ABS.
